Welcome to National Travel Listings, I built this web site as i felt there was a need to be able to search for a vacation, cheap flights, car rental or even book a cheap hotel and compare the prices from all the top internet companies and stay on ONE web site, with out new windows popping up. It's natural for us to check out more than one company for our travel needs, as we all like to save a buck or two. I have found myself spending up to 12 hours looking for that special deal so we can go and see our family at Christmas (International flight) which would meet our budget. I did finally find that deal and we was able to go.
After searching the internet for so many hours I have learned a few things about the internet travel search engines which I would like to share with you further down the page.
We are a member or an affiliate of every travel search engine on this site, and that's how we make our money to keep the site up and running. If you book a Discount flight, car rental or Discount hotels you are booking it DIRECT with the travel company, and NO money transactions go through us. When you click on one of our affiliate's pages you will see a large box with their ad inside click on the ad and you will see the companies, home page show up in the colored box, with out leaving National travel Listings web site.Which saves you time
Here are a Few Helpful Tips
1. When checking the travel search engines to get an idea of the cost of a cheap ticket, cheap hotel, car rental ect...I have noticed when you re-visit their web site again the price goes up (certain companies) this is because of a cookie they have in your computer that tells them you have searched their site before and the price goes up. This is to try and get you to book right away. Clean your cookies and files every time you do a search. (At the top of your internet screen click tools, then internet options. Click the delete cookies then wait...until this is completed, then delete files tick the delete off line files too.) I did a search one time and the price went up from the day before. I used a different computer later that day and checked again, and the price went back to the cheapest quote i got the day the day before. Crazy hur!
2. If there is a specific air line you would like to fly with, United Airlines, British Airways, Frontier, Northwest Ect...make sure you book your cheap seat well in advance (International Flights) as they sell their seats in blocks. For example the first ten seats could be $300 per seat and the last block of ten on that flight could be $900 per seat. This happens all year round but the starting block price and the last block price vary according to season you are flying. January - March and October - middle of December is the cheapest times to fly. When flying within Europe the last minute booking is the way to go.
3. Sign up and become a member of the internet travel search engines as occasionally they give a special deal to their members which can be purchased within a specific time. Don't worry they will not bomb bard you with e-mails unless you ask for e-mails to be sent. You have this option when signing up.
4. If you own a business and spend a lot of money with a credit card why not check with your bank to see if they have a card with air miles and get a free trip or two. If you get a card with a named air line you can only use them air miles with that airline. Most banks who give air miles are flexible and can be used on most airlines and you can cash the air miles in as gift for a family member or friend. Check out the block out days and rules before applying.
5. DO NOT become a member of a travel booking organization where you have to pay an annual fee. They claim to have cheaper flights. They don't have cheaper flights i have tried it. I could get flights cheaper by searching my self.
